We are always being asked by clients about what it is like to be an Auditor/Conformity Assessment Manager for International Certifications. We will be putting some brief write ups from some of our Auditors/Conformity Assessment Managers to answer this question. Below is the first second one from Tim Oorschot who is based in the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia (he is looking to relocate to USA later this year)…… He is a fantastic auditor with a wealth of knowledge specialising in the food industry, the clients love that he keeps them inline, he has a great sense of humour and nothing is ever a problem for Tim.

After being in the food processing, manufacturing and large scale catering industry for 3 decades I was seeking an industry where I could share my knowledge and experiences. The exposure to my own food safety management program opened an opportunity to become a third party conformity assessment manager.

The experience 6 years later has taken me to many amazing places around the world that I would normally not visit in a short life time, e.g. Australian states and territories, Samoa, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Malaysia and Fiji and will continue to enrich my life with many destinations waiting to be explored due to the nature of the industry.   It has given me great opportunities to understand various cultures and meet an abundance of people, with whom I can share industry experiences and value add recommendations and system improvements to many successful and up and coming businesses without consulting.
