Accreditation provides confidence

We are independently accredited by JAS-ANZ (Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand). JAS-ANZ are a founding member and a signatory to IAF MLAs for quality management systems, environmental management systems and product certification

Accreditation is an endorsement of our competence, credibility, independence and integrity to conduct out our conformity assessment activities.

In everyday language the terms accreditation and certification are often used interchangeably. In the conformity assessment industry however, these terms have very different and specific meanings. We are accredited to offer certification to our clients. Many organizations claim to be accredited to management system standards such as ISO 9001:2008, this terminology is incorrect, they should state that they are certified to ISO 9001:2008. See below for definitions:

Certification – the provision by an independent body of written assurance (a certificate) that the product, service or system in question meets specific requirements.

Accreditation – the formal recognition by an independent body, generally known as an accreditation body, that a certification body operates according to international standards.

As part of our accreditation we must at all times comply with all applicable IAF Mandatory Documents, JAS-ANZ policies and procedures and all applicable CASCO standards.
